It is 50 miles west of the south end of Las Vegas and 60 miles east of Death Valley. Surrounding Pahrump are the Spring Mountains to the East and the Nopah Mountains to the West. The Pahrump Valley is located in Nye County, which is the largest county in Nevada and the third largest county in the nation. Pahrump is home to a successful area school district that offers an educational home to many of the areas smaller communities. There is much to do in and around the area for fun and recreation. You will find many cultural events throughout the area and in nearby Clark County, as well as outdoor activities, and plenty of nightlife.
